Prepare for Jailbreak

To jailbreak your iOS 9.3.5 using Phoenix:

  1. Start off by downloading the latest version of the IPA from here.
  2. You will also need to get Cydia Impactor to sideload the file.
  3. Connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer.
  4. Drag and drop the Phoenix.ipa file into Cydia Impactor.
  5. Enter your Apple ID and password.
  6. Wait for Impactor to finish installing the app.

When done, you should see the Phoenix app on your home screen.

This just means you have successfully installed the jailbreak app onto your iOS device. The fun begins now.

Start Jailbreaking

Tap to open the Phoenix app on your iPhone. If you see the popup that says, “Untrusted Developer,” read this to understand why and how to fix it. The gist is that you will need to open the Settings app > General > Device Management.

Once Phoenix is opened, it will say that your current device is not jailbroken.

To jailbreak, tap on the “Prepare For Jailbreak” text. Read the terms and conditions and choose Accept. Phoenix will also let you know that it comes with a free mixtape.

When you get to the Install Cydia screen, tap Begin Installation. It will display a popup to let you know once again if your device is supported by Phoenix or not. If it is, tap on Use Provided Offsets.

The Jailbreak process will begin at this point; you do not need to do anything. Just let the system running.

Your iOS device will reboot after a few minutes. If everything works out fine, Cydia should be installed on your iPhone or iPad. Launch Cydia for the first time and let it run all its packages and dependencies.

Phœnix Jailbreak is a work of two well known iOS hackers named Siguza and Tihmstar. The particular jailbreak solution only works with iOS 9.3.6 and iOS 9.3.5 and supports 32 bit devices. Also it is a semi-untethered jailbreak and you will have to re-jailbreak your device after restarting. In addition, they credit Luca Todesco, Max Bazaliy, and jk9357 for providing additional input and UI elements.

There are two methods to Install Phœnix Jailbreak on iOS 9.3.5 - iOS 9.3.6.

  1. Install via TaigOne
  2. Install using Cydia Impactor

Here is the Installation guide of Phœnix Jailbreak using Cydia Impactor.

Step 1 : Download Phœnix.ipa from https://phoenixpwn.com/website for free and keep it on the desktop.

Step 2 : Download the latest version of Cydia Impactor.

Step 3 : Connect your device to your computer using the original cable. Also, make sure that your device is backed up for minimizing the risk of a data loss.

Step 4 : Start Cydia Impactor and drag the IPA onto the top field.

Step 5 : Enter your Apple ID credentials. If you have already signed a few apps using Cydia Impactor you may have to revoke your existing certificate. To revoke a certificate go to the menu in the Cydia Impactor and find Certificates section and then select revoke.

Step 6 : After the installation, you have to make your developer certificate trust. On your device, go to Settings > General > Device Management and trust the certificate.

Step 7 : Run the app and tap on Prepare For Jailbreak.

Step 8 : Wait for it to respring, then launch Cydia from the Home Screen.

Step 9 : Whenever you reboot, open the app again and tap on Kickstart Jailbreak.

Step 10 : Whenever the app expires, install it again with Cydia Impactor.

iOS 9.3.4 Jailbreak

Apple released iOS 9.3.4 by killing iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak. But finally, a jailbreak tool named Home Depot Jailbreak released with iOS 9.3.4.
